MHT CET 2025 Exam Pattern

Number of Sections:

  • PCM: Two Sections — Section 1: Physics & Chemistry, Section 2: Mathematics
  • PCB: Two Sections — Section 1: Physics & Chemistry, Section 2: Biology (Zoology & Botany)

Number of Questions:

  • PCM: 150 Questions (50 Questions in Each Subject)
  • PCB: 200 Questions (100 Questions in Biology & 50 each for Physics & Chemistry)

Types of Questions: Multiple Choice Questions.

Exam Duration: 3 Hours (180 minutes or 90 minutes for each section).

Marking Scheme: One mark for each correct answer in Physics, Chemistry, & Biology. Two marks for each correct answer in Mathematics. No negative marking.

Total Marks: 200

Languages: Mathematics in English; Physics, Chemistry & Biology in English/Urdu/Marathi.

Eligibility: Candidates who passed Class 12th in PCB or PCM from a recognised board can appear. Students outside Maharashtra can apply under All India Quota (AIQ).

Eligibility Criteria

  • Bachelor’s degree from recognized university in any discipline.
  • General and NC-OBC category: Minimum 50% marks or equivalent CGPA.
  • SC, ST, PWD/DA category: Minimum 45% marks or equivalent CGPA.
  • Final year students awaiting results can apply, but must complete graduation before admission.
  • Professional degrees (CA, CS, ICWA, FIAI) with required percentage are eligible.
  • No upper or lower age limit.

CLAT 2025 Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the CLAT, one must have at least 45% overall in Class 12 exams or an equivalent qualification from a recognized board or institution. However, the minimum required percentage for candidates in the SC/ST category is 40%.
